Softwash Storm™ Modular Soft Washing System (50 Gallon Base)
The Softwash Storm™ is a modular, professional-grade system built for contractors who want flexibility, performance, and room to grow. Instead of forcing you to invest in an oversized rig upfront, the Storm starts simple and expands with your business—offering one of the most cost-effective upgrade paths in the industry.
Key Features:
- Easy to Set Up
- Easy to Train-on and Operate
- Modular – Grows with You
- Limited Footprint Means Easy on Space
Category 1: The Professional 12-Volt Base System
The Storm begins with a 12-volt pump delivering 5.3 GPM at 100 PSI (actual delivery is lower at the tip), providing 35–40 ft of reach—enough for siding, roofs, and most two-story jobs. Built on a lifetime-warranty aircraft aluminum frame, with double-thick chemical tanks, this system is made for durability, portability, and professional performance.
Control Panel & Metering System
-
-
Bleach Valve (metering): Adjusts from 0–5% Sodium Hypochlorite output. Since most 12.5% bleach degrades to ~10% by the time it reaches contractors, the valve is marked on a “1–5” scale. A Bleach Settings chart on the panel shows recommended concentrations for different applications.
-
Soap Valve (metering): Measures in ounces per gallon, with a “1–5” range. At max setting (5 oz/gal), you’ll have extreme foam—rarely needed except for degreasing. Allows pretreatments such as turning bleach off and running only soap or degreaser via the draw tube.
-
Water Valve (on/off): Simple two-position valve—restricted (50%) for spraying chemicals and open (100%) for flushing at night. Vertical = On, Horizontal = Off.
Three-Valve Control Setup
-
Heavy-duty, marine-rated, multi-position switch for system power and accessories.
-
Zero = Off, Battery 2 = On, Battery 1 = accessory power (tank lights, etc.), 1+2 = full system power.
-
Built without relays for reliability—less wiring to fail.
-
Marine-Grade Switch System
-
Power Source: Requires a Group 24 marine deep-cycle DC battery (not included). Must NOT be a starting battery.
Pump, Tanks & Plumbing
-
Pump: Easily swapped out in under 10 minutes in the field.
-
Draw Tube (stinger): Includes its own on/off valve and hand primer bulb—pulls chemical into the line faster, saving setup time (especially useful as pumps age).
-
Buffer Tank: 8-gallon water buffer with Hudson float valve for steady supply.
-
Bleach Tank: 50-gallon SH tank with double-seal insert to prevent splashback and protect lid seals from premature wear.
-
Plumbing: Polypropylene throughout, fully chemical-resistant.
Hose, Reel & Gun
-
Reel: Stingray™ U-Frame reel with 12” spool (slimline design for compact fit). Holds up to 200 ft of ½-inch hose. Lifetime warranty on reel body, swivel, and manifold. OPTIONAL 12\\” electric reel is available.
-
Hose: High-quality clear hose to visually monitor flow; stays flexible in cold weather (35–45°F). Reverse hose every 12 months for extended life.
-
Gun: Purpose-built soft wash gun designed for easy field repair. On/Off valve replaces a traditional trigger for reliability.
-
Quick Connects: Brass with stainless steel ball bearings; clean up easily if corroded. Replaceable o-rings for long service life.
-
Six Shooter Tip Cartridge: Carries up to 6 tips at once with a lanyard to prevent loss.
-
Included Tips: Size 20 orifice with 40° pattern and Size 20 orifice with 0° pattern (direct shoot).
-
Build Quality & Durability
-
Frame: 50/52 aircraft aluminum, lifetime warranty.
-
Tanks: Double-thick construction, lifetime warranty.
-
Reel: Lifetime warranty. Product must be registered with manufacturer.
-
Hardware: 316 Grade A stainless steel bolts, Nilock locking nuts, marine-grade tinned wiring (silver-soldered), polypropylene fittings.
-
Attention to Detail:
-
Plastic safety guards on all hose clamps.
-
Grommets on every aluminum perforation.
-
Custom check valves with bleach-resistant springs.
-
No copper wiring anywhere—100% marine-rated components for maximum corrosion resistance.
-
Category 2: The Bolt-On Pressure Washing Upgrade
When you’re ready to take things further, Module 2 bolts on seamlessly, transforming the Storm into a dual-purpose soft wash and pressure wash rig.
-
Adds a Honda GX390 key-start motor for pressure washing
-
Boosts soft wash delivery up to 7 GPM at 240 PSI (actual delivery less at the tip)
-
Increases reach to heights normally only possible with P40 or AR45 systems (up to ~60 ft)
-
Expands system capacity with an increased-size 50 gallon water buffer tank (needed for pressure washer) and a newly dedicated 8 gallon surfactant tank
Category 3: Pure Water Window Cleaning & Auto Detailing
Take your Storm to the next level with Module 3, a complete, premium pure water delivery system designed for glass cleaning and detailing work. Built with a 4-stage filtration system, this module ensures spot-free results on windows, vehicles, and other delicate surfaces.
-
Stage 1: Sediment filter 2.5\\” Diameter x 10\\” length size – catches the larger physical particles in the water before it goes to the other filters
-
Stage 2: Carbon filter 2.5\\” Diameter x 10\\” length size – removes chlorine and contaminants and helps protect the RO membrane
-
Stage 3: Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes 20\\” length size, encased in stainless steel housing- for high-efficiency purification and handles the lion’s share of the water purification process
-
Stage 4: Deionization (DI) polishing filter 4.5\\” Diameter x 10\\” length size – for ultra-pure, streak-free water, finishes off the final process
Includes a 12\\” U-Frame hose reel that holds 200 ft of 3/8\\” clear hose and a 50 gallon pure water, double insulated storage holding tank for pure water storage.
Has a built-in TDS meter and a pump speed controller for controlling the amount of water being sent. This comes in handy for determining the amount of water based on the application: spraying or water fed pole cleaning.
The system has a control valve that allows the operator to either fill, spray or fill+spray. As a standalone unit (not connected to Cat 1 or 2) it has a standard garden hose connector for the source water. It can also be modularly attached to the other Storm Cat systems for water draw.
The system supports up to 2 simultaneous users with approximately 5 GPM pump.
